Ironwood Landmark Church Building Sold After Being Closed

IRONWOOD LANDMARK CHURCH BUILDING SOLD AFTER BEING CLOSED.

The closure of the First Presbyterian Church in Ironwood after 115 years was the result of dwindling membership. A once vibrant church with over 300 members, counted just seven members, two of which are in nursing homes and two are seasonal, snowbirding to Florida.
The Presbyterian Church has experienced a loss in membership that extends throughout the denomination. The pandemic added to the stress on the membership, with the church’s nursing home ministry closing down. The church building has been purchased by Faith Lighthouse, who plans conducting services starting June 1.
