IRON COUNTY MUST MAKE DECISION ON GERMANIA HILL ACCESS

Iron County is considering a working road maintenance agreement with the owner of the access road on Germania street, which leads to a communication tower in Hurley. Property owner Charles Ouimette attended the meeting and asked for $4,600 a year for an access agreement in order to plow and perform road maintenance on his own. Ouimette contends the county has never given him an answer about a maintenance agreement. After consulting an attorney, he’s decided he needs a fee agreement or he will close access.
