GOGEBIC-IRON COUNTY AIRPORT BOARD DECIDES TO GO ANOTHER WAY
Passengers and concerned community members were on hand during the regular meeting of the Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board where the board decided to terminate its contract with Boutique Air after the second safety incident since January. The CEO of Boutique flew in from San Francisco to address the board and passengers and after hearing all concerns agreed to end their association. Shawn Simpson said the airline will make any passengers whole, and said the two pilots associated with the flights that had issues have been fired. Boutique will continue to provide service until the airport board can find a replacement.
