Stay On Evictions Extended & Assistance Is Available

THE STAY ON EVICTIONS HAS BEEN EXTENDED AND ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE FOR MICHIGAN RESIDENTS

The federal moratorium on evictions has been extended to the end of June, and two rounds of rental assistance worth more than $46 billion total will be available to renters. . Renters can get a year or more’s help in getting caught up on back rent and help with utility bills. The National Low Income Housing Coalition keeps track of all the rental assistance programs available on its website at nlihc.org/rental-assistance. You can also go to michigan.gov/mshda and search COVID Emergency Rental Assistance.
