MERCER APPROVES THE PRAT, NOW MUST GET LEGISLATURE BEHIND THE TAX
The town of Mercer has asked residents to contact their elected state officials to ask their support for the town’s Premier Resort Area Tax request. Voters approved the PRAT at the beginning of April, howeve a municipality with less than 40% tourist driven value must have a PRAT request approved by the state legislature. Since the town is at that point, the drivce will be to get full support for the PRAT from the legislature.
