Ironwood Residents Will Again Have to Pay Water and Sewer Charges

IRONWOOD RESIDENTS WILL AGAIN HAVE TO PAY WATER AND SEWER CHARGES

The Ironwood City Commission has approved the request by the city water department to resume charges for city water and sewer services along with late payment fees, and service connect and disconnect fees. The temporary waiving of reconnection and late fees so far has resulted in a loss of over $82,000 in revenue since this time last year. That deficit is not being offset by any pandemic relief funds. City staff will be working with account holders on payment agreements and referrals to Gogebic Ontonagon Community Action and other agencies that could help.
