Ironwood Man, Former MLB Player Walks for Charity

IROWNWOOD RESIDENT AND FORMER MAJOR LEAGUE PLAYER WALKS IRON BELLE TRAIL FOR CHARITY

Eric Hillman, a former major league baseball and an Ironwood resident decided to celebrate his 55th birthday by walking the Iron Belle Trail for charity. Hillman, who pitched for the New York Mets in 1994 set a goal of $20,000 for No Kid Hungry. As of the weekend he had raised over $17,000 of his goal. Along with raising money for the organization, he walked to raise awareness of childhood hunger in the area. Hillman’s donation page will remain active til May 1st.
