FIRST PHASE OF SEWER AND WATER PROJECTS HAVE STARTED IN IRONWOOD
The city of Ironwood has begun the first phase of sewer and water projects. Contractors started moving heavy equipment onto Lake Avenue on Saturday, as engineers and technicians surveyed and marked underground utilities. The largest project will replace 1,400 feet of water and sewer main on Lake Avenue from Curry Street to Lake Street. Work will include rebuilding the street, sidewalks, curbing and gutters. About 2,400 feet of sanitary sewer mains will be relined over four blocks of downtown Ironwood, among other work replacing water and sewer mains.
