BODY OF PAULING YOUTH FOUND AFTER EXTENDED, INTENSE SEARCH.
Officials announced that the body of Cam Besonen of Pauling, was found in the woods near his home. Besonen was autisic and non verbal. The three day search for the boy involved more than 400 volunteers, along with local, state and tribal agencies, who battled snow and freezing temperatures; along with air searches by the Coast Guard, Michigan State Police and the Houghton Wing Civil Air Patrol, along with local businesses and residents providing support. Information about how the boy died or who found him has not been released.
