SCHOOL DISTRICT GETS THE OK TO HANG STUDENT BANNERS AGAIN THIS YEAR
The Bessemer Area School District will be able to hang Senior banners on light poles around the city again this year if the district wants to. There are 39 students and only 32 light poles, so some creativity will be needed. Superintendent Dan Niemi said they’re still deciding whether to do banners or lawn signs this year, but they’re leaning towards the banners. One of the only sticking points is finding a safer way to hang them, and having to order new brackets, as many of them snapped last year. A couple of tree services have been contacted for help with hanging, so it’s a matter of waiting for the OK and the new brackets
