BESSEMER FOURTH OF JULY IS A GO!!
The Bessemer Fourth of July celebration is a go. The city council gave organizers of the celebration the green light to plan in person festivities. Linda Nelson, president of the organizing committee said that at this time of year the committee would be putting finishing touches on the event, but she hopes to have plans for this year put together by the end of the month. The city’s celebration usually lasts a week or more, the decision on which events will happen is mostly up to the individual event committees. She says the parade, street bowling, the street dance and fireworks are all a go. She says there a lot left to do and committees are going to have to move fast.
