Effective today, the Iron County Forestry and Parks Department has declared all Iron County Snowmobile Trails closed for the season.Gates along the trails will be closed. The department would like to thank the Mercer Sno-goers and White Thunder Riders for another great season. Their continued cooperation helps make the Iron Country Trail system one of the best. Also, all trails are now closed to ATV and UTV use during spring thaw conditions. All ATV trails will remain closed until break-up conditions recede. ATV trails will open on a trail-by-trail basis as conditions dry up and have been inspected for washouts and grade integrity. This is estimated to be mid-May.
