Hurley City Council heard the matter of the Eagle Bluff Golf Club’s overdue lease payment this past Monday. According to the Daily Globe, there has been no communication from the club board on the late payment of $10,000 for use of the city owned facility. The Eagle Club’s general manager Jim Sain was in attendance, but there were no gold club board members present. Sain said he wanted to work well with the City, but was unable to present payment on the lease on behalf of the board, not having authorization to do so. Sain also said the golf board has questions regarding the lease, one of which is the actual existence of a lease; asking the board for a copy. The council stated that the city wants Eagle Bluffs to remain in operation, it simply need some communication on the club’s situation.
