The Gogebic Range Water Authority Awaits Wakefield’s Decision on Assuming Control of the Indian Head Water System.
The board of the Gogebic Range Water Authority was presented with the details of the Indianhead Water System last week, as Wakefield prepares for a decision on whether the city will assume control of the system. The presentation and information was requested by the water authority vice chair Dale White, who is also the mayor of Wakefield. He said the information obtained at the presentation would help the city council make an informed decision about the water system. G. Jean Verbos, water authority administrator says the goal is to simplify the GRWA administrator’s position by reducing the workload for the next administrator. A more in depth discussion at the April meeting of the board will include what the changes would mean for the water authority.
