This years water and sewer projects in Bessemer are a go. The city is opening up the bidding process after receiving the OK from the U.S. Department of Ag-Rural Development division. According to the Daily Globe, Darren Pionk of C2AE Engineering says eight contractors thusfar have said they might bid on the project. Those companies have been given copies of the project plans. A pre-bid meeting with those interested will be held on the 16th. Bids open on this project on the 30th, and when bidding is finished, C2AE will review them and give recommendations to the city council.
