2021 Ski Season Drawing to A Close

2021 Ski Season Drawing to an End, Local Hills Closed Over the Weekend

The 2021 ski season is drawing to a close as some of the local hills that were still open finished up and closed down this past weekend. Big Powder Mountain and Iron Mountain also closed over the weekend. Mt. Zion and Whitecap Mountains closed earlier this month. Bruce Noren of Powderhorn said they saw lots of new skiers this season. Tim Moon of Big Snow Mountain said the season as a whole was fantastic. Although there was a lack of snowfall this season, the pandemic is thought to have encouraged the public to get out and get on the slopes. There may be one last chance to hit the slopes this weekend, as Blackjack Mountain will be open with discounted lift tickets.
