Winterfest in Mercer has been extended until the end of March to take advantage of the extended season. Tuesday Night Skinny Ski Schedule will now run through the end of March and possibly into April. All skiing experience levels are welcome. Also, the North Lakeland Discovery Center Moon-Shoe — Snowshoe hike under a full moon. Sponsored by the MECCA Experience will be February 27, and the North Lakeland Discovery Center Owl Prowl, followed by a hike at MECCA will happen March 13, sponsored by the MECCA Experience. Also, The Turtle River Pursuit — an 11K classic and 11K skate race, the 5K Claire de Loon Classic Fun Race, the Flowage 15 K Freestyle and the Mercer Springs Snowshoe Classic.
