The annual La Rosa Dinner at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church for the last 45 years has resulted in lots of happy faces socializing and eating a homemade spaghetti dinner. With COVID 19, however, things have been a bit different. This year the Church and the dinner committee successfully pivoted, by offering drive up service allowing folks to take their dinner to go, with volunteer car hops taking orders and running dinners out to customers. It took about 50 volunteers to put on the event this year, which was fewer than usual given the drive up format. The meal is part of a church education fundraiser, along with raffle tickets, expected to result in one lucky winner getting a grand prize of $5,000. The church hoped to serve around 1300 patrons this weekend.
