There is a winner in the fourth annual Winter Medallion Scavenger Hunt. Kate Randall, 10, of Hurley said that she found the medallion hidden between two decorative banners, off a light post near the Hurley Clinic on Jan. 24. According to the Daily Globe, the event is put on by the Hurley Area Chamber of Commerce working with Jake Hostettler of Hurley Northwoods Manufacturing, who made the medallion this year. Every year, an anonymous donor designs and hides the medallion, and then writes the weekly clues for folks to follow. Kate will receive $250 in addition to bragging rights.
