Summer visitors to Saxon Harbor will be able to purchase firewood from a self serve kiosk, similar to the pay as you go lockers in the bus station. The Iron County Forestry and Parks Committee approved a contract recently with George Dalbec Logging. According to the Daily Globe, the logging company will provide the kiosk and will take 60 percent of the profits made from sales. This summer’s camping sales will be a trial run, with the possibility of firewood sales expanding to other counties and perhaps extending the firewood sales season.
