An accident involving a snowmobile this weekend has claimed the life of a 41 year old man in the town of Knight. According to the Iron County Sheriff’s Office, a call reporting the crash was received, but there was initial difficulty in locating the scene of the crash. More information was obtained, dispatch was able to find the exact location and snowmobile rescue units and ambulance and rescue units were dispatched. Life saving efforts were employed on the scene, but the man was pronounced dead by Iron county coroner Diane Simonich. It appeared the man was in the lead of a small group, left the trail and hit several trees. The crash is under investigation, the man’s identity is being held pending notification of next of kin.
