Classes Go Virtual Due to COVID 19

Upon advice from the Health Department, kindergarten and fourth grade classes have gone virtual as a result of exposure. The Daily Globe reports that Bessemer School District Superintendent Dan Niemi reported that an infected fourth grader had been ill and out of school since the 8th, so exposure was limited. The kindergarten student had been in class for a couple of days last week, necessitating a longer quarantine period. Niemi said the district is still dealing with COVID and is working to make sure the kids, staff and the community stay safe . Hopefully, things will get better soon. We just keep battling.”
