Civic Center Construction Could Be Nearing Completion

Pat O’Donnell Civic Center may be open soon according to officials. Construction schedules are returning to normal after a spate of delays. Depending on current construction schedules and any COVID 19 restrictions governing the crews and occupation during events, the building may be finished and if ice can be made in a timely manner, the Civic could be open by the end of February. The new center will have a larger, much improved entry and commons area, with windows facing the scenic Mount Zion ski hill and Gogebic Community College. When construction is finished, the building will become a multi use community facility.
