Fiat Chrysler Recalling 1.4 Million Vehicles

Fiat Chrysler is recalling roughly one-point-four million vehicles in the U.S. to replace passenger-side airbags from Takata.

The airbags have the potential of sending shrapnel into the vehicle cabin when deployed, but the automaker says they are unaware of any injuries or accidents from these particular inflators. In making the announcement, FCA says it has replaced over four-million Takata inflators to date. The recall affects Dodge Dakota and Ram pickups, Dodge Challenger and Charger cars, Chrysler 300 models, and Jeep Wrangler SUVs, and owners will be notified by mail.
