Michigan Gets 4(m) for Biomonitoring

The state is getting four-million dollars from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for biomonitoring…

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says just six state health departments in the country are receiving the grants. Biomonitoring measures environmental chemicals in body tissues or fluids to determine the amount of chemical that actually enters a person’s body. The money will come in from the CDC over five years.
