Ford Recalls Fusion and Rangers

Ford Motor Company has issued a recall for Fusion sedans and Ranger pickups in North America.

The problem stems from the transmission shift cable which may not be securely fastened. Officials say a driver may think the vehicle is in park, but it may rolll away unexpectedly. Approximately 270-thousand Ford Fusion models built between 2013 and 2016 are affected along with over 27-hundred 2019 Ford Ranger pickup trucks. Ford says they are not aware of any accidents or injuries with Ranger owners, but one injury and three reports of property damage were reported by Fusion owners. Owners will be receiving information in the mail concerning the repair process.
