Michigan Senate Majority Leader Says Higher Taxes Needed For Roads

Michigan Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey. He says the state has to raise taxes or fees somewhere to fix the roads to make up for decades of neglect. House Speaker Lee Chatfield was less enthusiastic, saying he wants to look at all other possible ways to find money in state government to be put to the roads before going to residents to pay more in taxes.
